PCASC is hiring!
Half-time Program Coordinator position available. Resumes due Sept 7, position starts October 1. The Program Coordinator advances the PCASC mission through developing the leadership capacity of volunteers, supporting the work of sub-committees, and coordinating program planning retreats. This organizer is responsible for coordinating PCASC communications and plays a supporting role in ensuring the financial sustainability of PCASC.

Allen is a journalist whose work has appeared in several newspapers and magazines, as well as NPR affiliate WKSU. He is a member of the Portland Central America Solidarity Committee. He has also worked with veterans’ rights and antiwar groups for five years. Oh yeah – he was born with cerebral palsy.

Honduras Report-back and Tamale Sale
Wednesday, May 25 · 7:00pm Musicians Union Hall 325 NE 20th ave Portland, OR Portland native and PCASC-volunteer Rachael Townsand recently spent 8 months in Honduras. She will be sharing her experiences living and working with rank-file union activists and campesino organizers, who are part of the united front in Honduras struggling for true democracy and critical economic reforms. We will have delicious refreshments and tamales for sale to take home. This report back presentation is a fundraiser for the Earth Peoples' Solidarity delegation to Honduras for the 2nd anniversary of the June 2009 coup.

It’s been nearly a year since I left for Honduras to take part in a human rights delegation to support the Hondurans in their resistance. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful for the love and support that made my trip possible. I returned to Portland in late February and am writing to tell you about the groups I have been working with and ask for your support on a new project.
